Manly is an iconic beach suburb on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and is easily accessible via a short ferry ride from the Sydney CBD. It is aptly described by the locals as "seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care". This film features a number of locations and activities in and around Manly, which have been summarised below in the order that tourists/visitors to Manly will likely see them (not in order of appearance in the film). The MANLY FERRY is the easiest way to access Manly from the CBD. It leaves from Circular Quay and travels on a very scenic journey through Sydney Harbour before arriving at Manly Wharf approximately 30 minutes later. MANLY WHARF has a number of high-class restaurants and a couple of great bars. You can also hire stand-up paddle boards and kayaks or have a swim in the harbour beaches which are adjacent to the Manly Wharf. Don’t be fooled though, these harbour beaches are NOT Manly beach. MANLY CORSO is a pedestrian-only pathway that leads from Manly Wharf to Manly Beach. It contains a large number of food joints, pubs, surf shops and gift stores. There is also the Manly Arts and Crafts Market which are on each weekend. MANLY BEACH is the arguably the best in Sydney and it is extremely popular with tourists and day trippers, particularly in summer. It is an excellent surf beach with both surf board hire and surfing lessons available for beginners. If you enjoy beach volleyball, there are eight public beach volleyball courts but be warned they are very popular, so either bring your A-Game or plan to play in the afternoon after the locals wear out and hit the pub. SHELLY BEACH and Cabbage Tree Bay are easily accessible via a short scenic walkway from the southern end of Manly Beach. Cabbage Tree Bay is an exceptional snorkeling location with an abundance of fish, plus cuttlefish, turtles and beautiful gropers. The locals love this area and the Bold And Beautiful ocean swimming group, who swim in Cabbage Tree Bay every morning, is both friendly and welcoming (no fees nor bookings required). NORTH HEAD SANCTUARY is a National Park adjacent to Manly. It contains some excellent lookouts, easy walking tracks and is a favoured location for Whale Watchers. North Head also has some historical features including North Fort from World War II and the Quarantine Station, the latter of which also has accommodation, a restaurant and bar. QUEENSCLIFF and FAIRLIGHT are both stunning waterfront suburbs which are adjacent to Manly. Fairlight has a spectacular waterfront pathway which starts at Manly Wharf and winds along the various harbour beaches and ocean pools of Fairlight. Queencliff beach has exceptional surfing waves and a number of restaurants, food joints and surf shops located along the beach. While large pods of dolphins can be seen at any of the Sydney Northern Beaches, Queenscliff beach is one of their favourate locations. Hi guys! This weeks video if a vlog of the beautful Manly which is in Sydney, Australia. Manly has been one of my favourite places to vist for a day trip during the 2 years I have lived in Sydney. Manly itself is so beautfiul but the highlight of the trip is the Manly Ferry which you can get from Sydney Central Business District dirctly to Mnaly Wharf. The journey takes you through the Sydney harbour, right next to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This video is about Manly, an iconic surfing beach suburb which is a short 20-25 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay in Sydney. Manly beach is as famous as Sydney's Bondi beach which I filmed a few weeks ago. FYI topless sunbaking is fine on Sydney beaches although no one was sunbaking on this cool Spring day. I filmed this 2 weeks ago (I arrived late afternoon and left the following morning) and the weather was still a bit overcast but that didn't seem to stop the local swimmers and runners. I was at the beach before 6am and there were people everywhere walking, running or about to swim. Manly Beach Walking Tour - Breathtaking! Manly Beach is a beach situated among the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Manly has a long-standing reputation as a tourist destination, owing to its attractive setting on the Pacific Ocean and easy accessibility by ferry. Travelling to Manly from Sydney's main ferry terminal, Circular Quay, takes 20-30 minutes by public ferry. Manly features a long stretch of sand on the ocean side, this is followed by rock pools and sandy beaches called Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach. The exercise was hosted by former ironman Craig Riddington who, with lifeguard Bruce 'Hoppo' Hopkins, took Manly Sea Eagles players Reuben Garrick, Karl Lawton, Jason Saab and coach Anthony Seibold into the ocean to show them how to respond if they were caught in a rip. ‘Float to Survive’ showed people how to float and enhance their survival chances in the ocean if caught in a rip. Manly Beach is a nice beach in a Sydney suburbs. It's within easy reach by a ferry from Circular Quay of Sydney. There's lots of lifeguards on patrol trying to keep everyone safe. By the end of the day when this video was filmed the lifeguards closed down parts of the beach in fear of strong currents. The Northern Beaches of Sydney contains 18 beautiful ocean beaches, including Manly beach, Avalon, Dee Why, Mona Vale and more. It is a spectacular peninsula located 10km north of the Sydney and includes many scenic locations including the Barrenjoey Lighthouse, Pittwater and Ku-ring-gai Case National Park. The film features a number of locations and activities, which have been summarised below (from North to South – not in order of appearance in the film): BARRENJOEY HEADLAND is at the northern most point of the Northern Beaches is located in the suburb of Palm Beach. With an easy hike up to the historic Barrenjoey lighthouse and you will be rewarded with incredible views of the Central Coast, Pittwater and the Northern Beaches. Barrenjoey is located in the suburb of Palm Beach, also known as “Summer Bay” to the many fans of the famous TV show “Home And Away”. KU-RING-GAI CHASE NATIONAL PARK is located in a beautiful coastal setting and full of gorgeous hikes, epic lookouts, stunning waterfalls. Bush walking is very popular in the park, with simple walks like “America Bay” to more advanced walks such as the “Jerusalem Bay Track”. PITTWATER is a large waterway which borders Ku-ring-gai Chase Nation Park and it is a boaties paradise. With lot of large marinas and pubic moorings and no major shipping traffic, the Pittwater is very popular for fishing, sailing and power boating. AVALON is a very popular "sea-change" destination for Sydney-siders who enjoy the surfer lifestyle. It has quaint little cafes and a cute little shopping village. For the surfers, North Avalon Beach is one of the best surfing breaks on the Northern Beaches. MONA VALE beach is actually two beaches, separated by a rocky outcropping upon which sits the famous Mona Vale ocean pool. There are some incredible photos of this pool which often gets waves flowing into it during high tide. LONG REEF is both a headland and a beach. Long Reef Headland, also known as Long Reef Point has a scenic lookout and is the start of an easy hike to Dee Why beach. The headland is also a premier location for Sydney kite surfers and paragliders who take advantage of the strong afternoon breeze and sea cliffs. Long Reef Beach is a great surfing beach with easy parking. DEE WHY is a more densely populated suburb and features a large number of local shops and restaurants at the southern end of Dee Why beach. Dee Why beach has powerful waves popular with local surfers and Dee Why point is a beauty when the surf is up. The film features some surf boat rowers practicing in the waves on Dee Why beach. FRESHWATER is a small protected beach very popular with families and young children. Parking is easy, the beach is patrolled by surf life savers and there are several cafes nearby which overlook the beach. SPIT BRIDGE AND CLONTARF are inland suburbs at the southern end of the Northern Beaches. Clontarf beach is a great harbour beach and kids park which is very popular with families and perfectly suited for small children and toddlers. MANLY is the “jewel in the crown” of the northern beaches and a must-see location. Easily accessible from the Sydney CBD via the Manly Ferry, it is very popular with tourists and the most lively of all the northern beaches. Manly highlights include Manly Wharf for drinks, Manly Beach for surfing and volleyball, Cabbage Tree Bay for world-class snorkeling, North Head National Park for lookouts and whale watching, Quarantine Station for some history and Sydney Harbour for sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Why I Love Sydney! Adventure day with friends: Manly Beach, Australian Animals, Lookout spots Welcome to one of my favourite vlogs ever. This video makes me so happy -especially now that we are back in lockdown. It's so nice to look back at all these special moments and know that eventually, we can go back and enjoy travelling, seeing friends and going on adventures. Jesse, Sam, Josh, Jedd, Ale and I started our day off on the ferry to Manly! We had breakfast at Bare Naked Bowls (got acai and avocado toast 😍 sooo yum) we then headed to Shelly Beach, also walking past Manly Beach and taking in the beautiful scenery there. I wish I had bathers so I could swim but I'll definitely be back in Sydney throughout the summer! We stopped by the boathouse to grab some hot chips and milkshakes and then began guessing what Jesse's surprise was!! *you have probably guessed it by now because it's in the intro. Before the surprise, we went to a spot that overlooked the Sydney Harbour and the cityyyy. We sat down breathing in the fresh air and I tried a honeysuckle for the first time haha Sam also takes photos of people he meets on his film camera and it was the cutest idea ever I want to do it as well now! thanks for the inspo sam :) Jesse took us to a farm!!! It was so much fun getting to feed and hold the animals. They were so cute🥺 Afterwards, Jesse drove us to the airport and we got one more chance to see Sydney's beautiful Opera House and Harbour bridge. I had the best flight of my life. It was so relaxing (was just reading and drinking tea) what a weekend! so thankful to have these people in my life and I cannot wait for future adventures!
